One of the things we can do now is to sign up to monitor a workshop or workshops. Workshops are ongoing from Thursday afternoon to late Saturday afternoon.
Monitoring includes making sure the ALD devices are working (there will be help on this), introducing the speaker, passing out literature from the speaker, and passing out and collecting evaluation forms, etc.
If you are interested in being a monitor please look at the convention schedule to see what workshop (s) you want to monitor.
To do this, go to the HLAA website http://www.hearingloss.org/ , and click on convention. That will take you to a page where you can see the workshop schedule for each day by clicking on each day.
Please email Jim Minogue at JMinogue77@aol.com the information, workshop and its date and time that you would like to work at as soon as possible.

Hope this finds you doing well and looking forward to some warm weather! Our next HLA of Knoxville meeting is next Thursday, February 12th. Meeting time is at 7 p.m. at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 1001 Ebenezer Road, Knoxville. We have a lot going on and this will be a great meeting! We have a guest speaker coming from UT H.A.B.I.T. to talk about the bond between humans and animals. She will be bring a special guest that crosses ALL language barriers and needs no words to communicate. :) Captioning service will be provided. Also, Nelda & Dick Twitchell will be visiting us from the Chattanooga Chapter to give us information and packets about the Walk4Hearing on May 16th that our chapter will be participating in. If there is time, Cricket would like to do a small demonstration/information session about the website that she is creating for our group. And......we have new people planning to come!!! I'm counting on everyone to give them a warm welcome and offer them some support.
