Hope this finds you all doing well and enjoying this beautiful fall weather. It is almost time for our monthly HLA meeting. Our next meeting is Thursday, November 13th at 7 p.m. at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 1001 Ebenezer Road, Knoxville, TN. Our guest Speaker is Tiffany Denyer, from Wilderwood Service Dogs of Maryville, TN. She will have a wonderful program about her service dog training program. Please plan to come and give her a good turnout for our group! Transcribers will be available. Announcements will be in the Knoxville News Sentinel, the Shopper News, and the Daily Times newspapers.
I will be out of the country on a mission trip to Latvia but Susan Underwood has agreed to be in charge for our meeting this month. Maureen Hinds, our Vice President, just recently had her 2nd cochlear implant surgery and hopes to feel good enough to come. Our group is East Tennessee's VOICE for persons who struggle with hearing loss. Persons with any degree of hearing loss are welcome, including spouses, family members, and friends. Please spread the word and share this email with anyone who might be interested in our meetings.
Our DECEMBER meeting on December 11th will be our annual Christmas party!!! This is always a lot of fun. I'm going to try to find some "special entertainment" for our program. Everyone is asked to bring a finger food or Christmas food to share. Come join us!
